I am sorting my old pictures right now, and I can't believe how much I painted some years ago. Of course I got more critical and now I see many flaws in those pictures, but the sheer amount surprises me. On the one hand I am happy about this large collection, because I still remember little storys about everything and so the pictures help me to relate to the past. But on the other hand this shows, that I got really lazy... especially when it comes to acrylic paintings. But I will upload some of my older artworks to my gallery and who knows, perhaps they can inspire me to try out something big again.

At that time I had a very difficult art teacher, who always wanted us to draw happy and colorful pictures. I hated her for forcing us to imitate her cheesy art style... So I had my fun doing the opposite and intrepreted her tasks in the most dark way possible. So a "dream island" turned into this picture.
