Artist's Comments
This is another old picture, drawn for school back in september 2001. We were told to draw a "dream island", but I prefered to paint a "nightmare island" instead.
It's acrylic paint. I thought of the motive myself, but I remember I got inspred by a fantasy drawing for the dragon's mouth... so if this part looks familiar to you, it could be.  At that time I enjoyed fantasy art and drew lots of dragons and fairys, but when I look at those pictures today, I think most of them are bad... this is one of the few I still like, so I decided to finally upload it here. |

Leider ist das Bild etwas verschwommen, weil es nur mit meiner uralten Digicam abfotografiert wurde. Vielleicht ersetze ich es bei Gelegenheit mal durch eine bessere Version.
Ist das irre! O.O
...okay, ich muss zugeben, weil ich das Bild nie sah, glaubte ich auf den ersten Blick automatisch, es sei auch eben neu gemalt. *schäm*. 2001. Aber eben damals schon...der große "Wow"-Effekt
Ich kann mich meinen Vorrednern schonmal anschließen: die Atmosphäre, das Leben und die Bewegung im Bilde (auch die Wellen unten schauen großartig aus)...ich kann nicht viel meckern. Auch die gewählten Farben sind beeindruckend. Wie würde dasselbe Bild 2009 aussehen, frag ich mich? Kann das noch groß gesteigert werden?

Das ist sogar eines der wenigen Bilder, mit denen ich ganz zufrieden bin... vielleicht würde ich die Wellen sogar nicht mehr so hin bekommen, weil ich etwas aus der Übung bin *g*.
